| University of Chicago students, faculty, and staff rehearse and perform a variety of chamber music throughout the year. Coachings are provided by the Department's Artists-in-Residence, the Pacifica Quartet, and by other staff members. Performance opportunities include weekly Noontime Concert Series, plus quarterly Chamber Music Showcase Concerts. Student string quartets have studied works ranging from Mozart to Bartok, and smaller ensembles have performed everything from Beethoven violin sonatas to a Shostakovich trio.
