| Participation in the Middle East Music Ensemble is open to all University of Chicago students, and to experienced community members. Previous experience in the genre is not required, but performers must be proficient on their instruments. MEME explores a variety of classical, neo-classical, and popular forms from across the Middle East. The ensemble performs one major concert per year. This year members also had the opportunity to take part in a master classes on Tunisian Malouf with the renowned group Cantigas. Issa Boulos, director
