Ursula Oppens

Brilliant classical pianist, who is the John Evans Distinguished Professor of Music at Northwestern University was one of the first pianists to test the boundaries of traditional concert programming, by performing both classics and contemporary pieces (she is equally confident in both mediums). She has appeared with orchestras throughout the United States and Europe, and received two Grammy nominations. Among others, she has won the Busoni International Piano Competition, Avery Fisher Career Grant, and Record World Award... MMus, Juilliard School. The Boston Globe applauds her "intelligence, clarity and strength."
