Nestled inside the southwest tower of the Michigan Avenue Bridge, the Bridgehouse Museum shares the story of how the Chicago River changed with the growth of a city. Enter the five-story bridgehouse from the riverwalk level and discover why the river's flow was reversed and how plant and animal species once nearly lost are now returning. You can also see the gears that open the landmark bridge. The museum is a project of Friends of the Chicago River.
