Scale Chicago's third tallest building (via elevator, of course) and you'll find yourself 1,000 feet above Michigan Avenue. Located in the heart of the Magnificent Mile, the muscular skyscraper is one of Chicago's most popular attractions, and regularly voted Chicago's best view. It's easy to understand why: The 94th-floor observation deck offers views of four states (Indiana, Michigan, Wisconsin, Illinois).
Fun facts about the Hancock: its elevators move at 1,800 feet a minute, it's built with enough steel to make 33,000 cars and if it stood in the deepest part of Lake Michigan it would still stick out of the water.
Tickets are $12 for adults (ages 13-61), $10 for seniors (62 and older), $8 for children (ages 5-12) and free for kids four and under. An individual audio sky tour costs $4 and shared tours are $5. Special pricing is available for groups of 20 or more.
