Set in Hyde Park's Nichols Park, the fountain features a water sculpture by Gary Woljniak. The park honors artist and urban planner John Fountain Nichols, a Hyde Park resident and former Art Institute alum who participated in the Federal Artists' Project during the Great Depression.
