Ed's is a fantastic Chinese restaurant. It is always packed with Chinese families and is open late (I think until 10 or so) if you don't feel like cooking. I've only dined in-house a couple of times but was treated so politely and respectfully. Tea, water, complimentary small dish appetizer, and food was all brought out promptly and replenished as needed. I usually order take-out and it is just as prompt. My favorites on the menu are the Shanghai special dumplings (with the soup inside), the house potstickers (that are in an unusual long shape much like an eggroll! DIVINE!!), the smoked pork pancakes, the green onion and egg fried rice (which is simple, light, and delicious, a real treat for fried rice which is usually pork and soy sauce-laden and very heavy), the pork ribs with a savory dark sauce, and, best of all, the delicious eggplant with garlic sauce. You MUST order this eggplant. I've had more than one die-hard carnivore vow never to order Chinese meat dishes again after having this eggplant. You don't need it...it's sweet, savory, warm, crisp, and excellent for leftovers (not like you'll have any, but still). There are not many restaurant choices in this neighborhood, but even if there were a million, the Potsticker House would outshine them all. The only problem is for Chinese food it is a bit on the higher end with prices. However, the portions are huge so it's a great meal to split with someone. Or to save some for your next meal tomorrow!
