Marianao might be the worst "Cuban" food I've ever had... and being Cuban, I've eaten a lot of bad Cuban food. The steaks aren't seasoned correctly if at all, and are thrown from a freezer directly into a pot without prior preparation. There is nothing "authentic" about Mexicans cooking Cuban food. Go somewhere else that actually takes pride in cooking food instead of taking advantage of unknowing customers by doing the bare minimum. On the plus side, they sell hand-rolled cigars from Miami for like 2 bucks a pop and make good coffee... but I'll never eat anything there again except for maybe some toast with cafe con leche. You shouldn't either.

Marianao's is great! Their steak sandwiches are delicious and so affordable. I've forced dozens of people to try this place and I have yet to hear any complaints. Sure, it's small and doesn't look like much from the outside.. but the food speaks for itself. It's, by far, the best steak sandwich I've ever eaten in Chicago! They put overpriced steak sandwiches at other restaurants to shame.
