I loved it! I agree that it would be a shame to see it become over crowded, though.
Went with a friend and we had sausage and peppers for appetizer...wonderful, especially the sauce (white wine bas I think). On to minestrone (a special that day) and Caesar salad, both substantial in size (so be careful). I had a chicken marsala served on penne which was perfectly cooked and tasty. Here's waht made the place for me, when we were ordering appetizers my guest asked the waitress if they had fettucine carbonara...not on the menu (a great dish so hard to find nowadays), and the watitress responded that they did not but would be happy to make it for us (apologies to chef if you get a billion orders for it now) and it was fantastic, rich and creamy with pancetta, parmesan, and peas. Try asking for that (or anything not on the menu) at one of the large chain places or even the smaller upscales in the area! No room left for dessert, though I saw a few go by and they looked quite good. About $40 per person...with drinks and coffee. I would highly recommend Leonardo's to my friends and anyone who is looking for carefully (not necessarily foo foo) prepared, delicious food, a great menu and extra polite service.

I'm so torn, I want to shout the praises of this fine restaurant from every roof top, but I also want to keep it my little secret. Just north of all the well known restaurants in Andersonville is the pleasant store front of Leonardo's located in a section of Clark Street where there is actually parking. The muted tones and the exposed brick create a warm and inviting environment. The bar area on the left has comfy chairs and tables for lounging after dinner and the most perfect square table in the front window for larger parties. One can visualize having a fabulous party with family and friends at this table. Though beauty may only be skin deep, Leonardo's has depth with their amazingly friendly and attentive wait staff and their unbelievably delicious food. From the hostess to the bus boy, they make you feel welcome and comfortable without being intrusive. The food is made with fresh and quality ingredients which are evident throughout their appealing menu. Caprese salad or a basic house salad do not disappoint. Leonardo's pastas are on par with those I've eaten in Italy. Yes, many restaurants have penne arrabbiata, but not like this. It is truly divine and here again you can taste the freshness of the chunks of tomato, onion and panchetta. The 18 hour ravioli made with osso bucco are equally mouth watering. Though I've yet to try the fish or meat dishes which also look beautifully prepared, the reasonable prices of Leonardo's will keep me coming back for more.
