Thursday nights at Nitecap is the place to go to see some great local talent. The drink prices are the shit and the people are cool. some of the best hip hop artists ive seen in chicago were performing there. Check it out.

Been there a handful of times to see a heavy rock band perform. Old, dirty, ill-kept, holes in the floor, sound person is sporadic and the bands don't always sound so good and oyu can't hear them or an instrument for such a small space. I've seen people leave because of. I've been charged different prices for drinks depending on which bartender you get in the same night. If I do go to support a band any longer, I do not drink there anymore - rip off dive! Too bad, back in the day when new it was probably rather stylish. But they let it go to trash.

Great place to see a hard rock or metal band. And usually they have them every weekend. BUT, the stage is extremely small and there is a huge bar smack in the middle of the room which is very inconvenient when you're watching live music. Take the bar out of the middle and expand the stage! The beer selection is pathetic, unless you like Miller Lite. Hard liquor prices are too much for too little. I NEVER drink when I come here. Parking can be tough.

I LOVE THIS PLACE!!! COOL DARK BLAST FROM THE PAST.. YOU WALK IN,AND SEE A NEIGHBORHOOD BAR. THEN YOU HEAR A DRUMMER DOING A SOUND CHECK. YOU ENTER THE MUSIC ROOM, AND SEE THE BIG BAR IN THE MIDDLE OF THE FLOOR. THE STAGE IS A SMALL VERSION OF A LARGER VENUE. RED LIGHTS (LIKE MY BEDROOM IN THE 70'S) IS THE NORM. THE SOUND AND LIGHTS, I.T. LIGHTS AND FOG MAKE A GREAT SHOW. YOU HAVE GOT TO SEE A SHOW HERE YOU WON'T FORGET IT!!!!!
