My daughter was invited to a bachlorette party at East of Ryan located at 914 East 79th Street. Since I'm a Northsider I was skeptical about the location but then later realized from my daughters feed back I was worried for nothing.
As a mother I was very pleased at how my daughter and her friends were treated. The decorum is in a relaxed atmoshere in a mixture of young and older adults of all ages. If you want good seating for the male exotic entertainment come early!
The bachlorette party was a success! The girls had a sensational time at the club and everyone will rememeber the experience at East of Ryan as a cherished and wonderful memory.

The East of the Ryan is under new management (DBL)and definitely coming into its own. I've attended several events there since its grand opening on in March 2009; security is tight and there's zero tolerance policy in effect. Located on the Southeast side of Chicago; the party is over at 4a.m. DEFINITELY KEEP AN EYE OPEN FOR UPCOMING EVENTS. The East of the Ryan is moving on up.

This club was part of the Jazz Institute jazz club tour this month (8/07). The atmosphere was friendly and the music was swinging. The room needs a little refurbishing and was set up banquet-style, not like a club. Would like to go again.

Stopped in while on the chicago blues bus tour. Very cozy blues atmosphere. Recommended for a good blues show.
