On another note--and because of the wines--a friend and I decided to host a wine and hors d'Oeurves pairing bridal shower for 20 people there on Sunday afternoon. Although, I was initially anxious, I decided to hold the event there because of the wine and the customer service orientation of the manager, the space overlooking the Park and the wines. I was thrilled with the outcome. The tables set up by the windows overlooking Grant Park, the table settings, including flower centerpieces, were elegant. The service, the Hors d'Oeurves and the sommelier executed a beautiful event for us. It was elegant, but informal which is what I wanted for the co-ed group. The feedback from all of the guests was that the experience was wonderful.
