I must admit that I was pleasantly surprised by the level of excellence displaced by the troupe at Noodles by Takashi Yagihashi. The fare was faultless and unbelievably refreshing. The ramen miso was outstanding, and yes folks, I am talking about ramen noodles here. I also tried the shoyu noodles across the table from me only to discover that this place truly knows what they’re doing when it come to preparing their noodles. I must say, I not an expert on Chicago Noodle houses, and I’ve only been to about a dozen odd noodle joints in and around town, this experience truly was a pleasure much worth repeating. Sure, it’s kind of ‘food courty’, but when you see Chef Rick Bayless hanging out in front of his own joint next door you realize, hey now, this isn’t your every day food court in a shopping environment; this is something special. And it was.

I’ll definitely be going back to Noodles on somewhat of a regular basis, well mostly on the weekends because I now work out in the burbs. I must also mention, noodles are a great choice of sustenance after a night a consuming the ole’ grog. A huge bowl of noodles is a great way to re-hydrate your body and your spirit.
