The seats are very close. Large person could not be comfortable. If you want to get out the people next to you have to stand and put their seats up. Don't think I'll go again.

I went to the Sears Centre last Friday night for the Matchbox Twenty concert with Alanis Morissette and I thought the place was awesome! Maybe the acoustics have changed since the building opened because this was the best sound I have ever heard in an arena and I swore Rob Thomas was standing right next to me. The staff there was so curteous and helpful and after watching a concert at the Sears Centre I hope I never have to go anywhere else. Matchbox Twenty rocked and this was the perfect arena! Can't wait to see the next show there.

The show was great. the acoustics from my section were outstanding. Billy rocked and was just as good as when I saw him 20 years ago!! The bathroom lobby situation was pretty poor as many ladies had to wait in long lines.

I just returned from a Billy Joel concert at the Sears Center, 12/1/07. Joel’s show was good, but the acoustics were horrible, could not discern the lyrics, and the mix reminded me of concerts back in the 70’s at the Ampitheatre. The traffic routing was a joke-entering the parking area took about 25 minutes because of the poorly engineered roads. The parking was worse. You have to park at Cabelo’s and wait for a shuttle school bus to pick you up. This took about 15 minutes, and it was pouring, freezing rain. The shuttle bus drivers didn’t even pick you up in the right order; apparently they didn’t have good communications. The concessions were horrible, and the design of the lobby area for getting in and out of the place was worse. Why anyone would design a concert venue this poorly in this day and age, and without adequate parking, is beyond me. Many of today’s concert goers are older, and we don’t appreciate being treated like cattle. With ticket prices at or over $100 per ticket, and parking at $20.00, I recommend you wait till the show you want to see is elsewhere, because this place absolutely sucks. I’ll never go there again.

Saw Billy Joel at the Sears Center and am glad that I knew the lyrics already so I could sing along to the karioke of hearing his music without being able to make out his lyrics at all. I never thought I'd miss the accoustics at the Horizon, but they were better than Sears. And how do you build a stadium without parking! Shuttle buses to a suburban venue is very uncool. Too reminiscent of a Bears game. So, in short, if you don't need to hear what's being sung, and you don't mind being hastled by a logistical disaster, oh, and did I mention the aged and heavily salted popcorn and the stink of burned consessions that somehow wafts through the stands throughout the show. I say, save yourself the trip, pop in a CD with some Reddenbacher, and a Heinekin and enjoy.
