If you haven't been to the African Harambee yet, you're definitely missing out. The African Harambee is a great addition to an area of Rogers Park that has been traditionally lacking in good dining choices. It used to be that you had to go to Andersonville or Evanston for really good dining options. Not anymore. The summer roll appetizers are delicious. I'm also a big fan of the ethiopian tea (which you can get either iced or hot). My favorite dishes are the Yemissir Wat, the spinich meat and the tibs, although i've yet to try a dish that I haven't liked. Unlike ethiopian dining where all dishes are served with Injera breat, the African Harambee offers other side options like rice, Chipatti bread (similar to indian paratha) and cous cous. The African Harambee also has a parking lot, so you really have no excuse not to visit this great restaurant!
