When you give a sob story about 3 guys who wanted a club that didn't have a pretentious line, bouncer, and cover and say "we're different" is a nice change. But then come to find out it has a list, velvet rope, line, and cover that really "grinds my gears".

RUDE AND EXPENSIVE, MIDDLE OF NOWHERE DUMP!!! Saturday night I was heading out to my friends birthday party. This place suppositely had no cover according to the website. Show up and they say since its after 10pm the cover is 10$ for girls and 20$ for guys. I tried to talk to the girl taking the cover about how the website didn';t say anything and how we should be able to pay 10$ each because its a birthday party and the girl inside was waiting for us. (might I add quite calmly and completely sober) We are refused and when I say "come on, its only 10:30" she waves some big bouncers to escort us out. Trying to not upset the birthday girl I agree to the guys outside that i'll pay the full cover and they tell me "you guys are trouble, your not coming in". The birthday girl is calling me and comes to check out whats going on, she asks the guys to let us in for 20$ a piece and they don't even respond to her, instead they say to each other "she brought in more girls than guys, don't listen to her". She gets pissed and says "what the hell is your problem" on which she is kicked out of the club as well. They won't even let her back in to tell her friends that she can't even be a part of her own party.
We eventually got everyone out and went somewhere else. The people inside weren't too mad because they had been waiting for more drinks with absolutely nonresponsive staff inside.

Wuaohh the atmosphere, music, drinks and of course "da ladies" this is a good spot for those who like da good staff!!! We'll cia this friday @ Lumen...

I LOVED IT! The atmosphere was laid back, great music, beautiful people, yes it was busy and seats were full but it makes for great people watching. Friendly wait staff and good drinks.

Is this place called 'Pretentious Moi'?? Seriously, I went expecting a club that would be relaxed, and a good vibe, no pretentions, no lines, no VIP service - what they claimed before it actually opened. When I get there, there's a line of at least 30 people. And nowhere to sit because every table was reserved. If I wanted to make a reservation, I would go somewhere that wants me there. Sorry Lumen, you blew it.
