The Bluebird is a wonderful place to eat and drink! If you're used to eating at Applebee's then you might be frustrated with the portion sizes and the prices, but if you appreciate quality then you comprehend price tag. I visit The Bluebird on a weekly basis because GREAT bars with GREAT food are scarce in the neighborhood.

Bluebird was awesome! Finally an upscale bar with good beverage choices and sophisticated bar food! The bar is cozy and I think your crazy if you think the beer is over piced...you obviously don't know much about quailty beer. I'll be back again.

I visited Bluebird for the 1st time last night. The space is wonderful...very cozy and warm. The food and drink sadly disappoint. The drinks are way over priced, and the food portions were small and unimpressive. We ordered a cheese course, and it was delivered to us very cold. The server explained that they keep the cheese in the refrigerator. Sorry guys, cheese courses are served at room temp.

Well, folks, you got to move on beyond Bud & Lite - the beer isn't cheap because, like fine wine (not Yellow Tail), it doesn't come cheap! Their list is fantastic, the prices are TOTALLY reasonable, the quality is superb, and the food is great - man, the rabbit braised in Belgian ale served on pasta with mushrooms was so good I keep thinking about it! And I was stuffed after that and a salad, all for under $20. These guys hit the mark - and remember, it isn't the cheapest place precisely because it is quality stuff - finally something besides a cheap burger & lite beer joint in Bucktown!

I have to agree with Alan. The beer/wine prices were way too high for the amount you received. The cheeses and meats were tasty but, again, they gave you morsels. We also tried the mushroom flatbread, which was disappointing. Overall, Bluebird was overpriced and nothing to get excited about.

Never going back - Beer prices are market up so high they're insulting - and the food was just ok.
