I was turned on to this wonderful grocery store by a friend who knows her food prices. I was amazed! I got some really nice short ribs, for a great price.
The selection of fruits and veggies are sure to please. A wide variety, good pricing and very good flavor!
There is a bulk area full of nuts, imported candies, chocolates, this is a good place to get your snack on.
The bakery section is awesome and they have a variety of cake slices and individual treats for a little over a buck apiece. Yum!
If you live in the area, it is definitely worth the trip!

I'm pretty sure it lies within the borders of the Belmont-Cragin neighborhood, not Portage Park.

This grocery store is one example of what makes Chicago so great. Their deli - WAY less expensive than the big guys - offers up almost anything imaginable, and then some. Pierogies, genuine polish sausages hanging for you to pick, varieties of ricotta cheese (european and mexican) ceviche, marinated meats.... The bakery is absolutely lovely and you may never want to make your own stuff again..... And best of all, really reasonable prices. I am so happy to have learned about A & G!!!

Wow! I walked in this place for the first time and it was great. No membership card needed (which is very rare now) I am always looking to shop at card free stores. I also like the building becuase it is pedestrian friendly. Their parking lot is in the back which keeps that Chicago walking friendly atmosphere! Thank you A&G!
