I absolutely loved my experience at Maya del Sol. While waiting for our table I enjoyed a tasty Mojito as my friend sipped on her Mayan named margarita. The service staff were all friendly, as well as the managers who stopped by to chat us up as we ate our meals.
I personally devoured my scallops while my friend liked the carne asada - better than Lalo's!!
I will definitely be returning to Maya del Sol.

The restaurant is beautiful. The service the night I was there was very good. They do take reservations now, at least they did for us. The bar is great. The margaritas are tasty, I thought, but I had 4 and was barely even buzzed, but then I am used to Lalo's monster margaritas. I had the Baja fish tacos, which were only ok. But my friend had the scallop dish which was wonderful, another friend had chicken enchiladas, excellent, another had carne asada, also excellent. Definitely a great addition to the OP restaurant scene.

It was horrible. The food and service were terrible. The food is so bad it makes a Taco Bell selection taste good.It wasn't like any Mexican meal I've had in the U.S. or Mexico and that's not a compliment.
I don't care as much that because they didn't take reservations we had to wait about 20 minutes to be seated or that it was an hour before we received our order. Our main complaint was about the food.
I love Mexican food and have eaten it in TX,IL,CA, and in Mexico. This was the worst and the most expensive meal and we won't be returning.

I was not impressed by this restaurant. What really shocked me was the fact that they do not accept reservation on Friday and Saturday. Whose bright idea was that? Although the restaurant is nicely decorated, I believe they needed to focus on dressing up their food with more flavor. My friend with whom I was having dinner made the same statement about the food but with more disappointment. We also wanted to enjoy a good margarita with dinner but that didn’t happen. It was like drinking lime juice. On the menu it states that they use fresh lime juice; more like lime concentrate and not worth the price. If you want to enjoy a satisfying meal and a good beverage, Maya del Sol is not the place. I don’t recommend it and will not be going back there again.
