Whenever I am in Chicago I go to the Cubby Bear. I love this bar. Very busy obviously during baseball season but if you are in Chicago to party and have fun definetly a good choice. I've been there for lunch on business and I've been there specifiallyh to pre and post game and never disappointed. Drinks are a little on the expensive side but its Chicago and its not a hole in the wall so prices are as expected.

Cubby Bear is normally the place to go before and after games, but I recently went there in the off season for a private party...WOW! I will definitely go back, the room was great, didn't have to fight for drinks and it had a great staff. Plus the private room had a great view! Love it at Cubby!

I have to say the Cubby Bear has the worst sound person ever. Saw a concert there, and the mix was god awful.

Was there last night and it was dead. There is no point going to this crap hole off season, I then went to Barleycorns and it sucked too. Wrigleyville is meant for the summer only.

The advice from "Midwest Gal" to "If you don't like it just leave" is not very helpful when you're there to see a specific band. It's not as if that same band is playing a different venue the next night.

I was there in 2004 and actually had a great time. Yeah, there were beer cans all over the floor but everyone there seems to be having a good time. If you don't like it just leave.
