This was my first time to this trendy, hot-spot and I was very pleased. The food was delicious and well-prepared. Although I do not frequent Oak Park restaurants (nor am I a food critic of any sort) I thought the menu was well thought out. I do, however agree with some of the previous messages regarding the service. I, too, felt a little rushed and it became (as one reviewer put it so appropriately) "intrusive". I hope this changes in the future. Otherwise, the ambience is intimate enough to share with a casual friend or that special someone.

The food is great. The atmosphere is thoughtfully designed. And the staff is efficient and knowledgeable. All in all, this is a wonderful restaurant.

Top to bottom...nice experience. Great ambiance, and the appetizers and main entrees were excellent. The staff was friendly, knowledgable and attentive.

Other postings mention a weakness in service, however, that was far from what we experienced last night. Perhaps midweek dining is the way to go?

Food and ambience are generally very good and the menu changes often but I tend to agree that the service is a little amateurish. I always feel a little rushed. Certainly one of the best places to eat in the neighbourhood but short of the standard of genuine italian restaurants (ie. those in Italy).

I love this place, it's my all time favorite restaurant. The food is made with care and the changing weekly menu makes it enjoyable to return. The staff is as good as it gets and very attentive, I always like great water service. Did I mention the cozy atmosphere? You must at least try it.

I used to love this place. The food was always great and still is. Unfortunately, I avoid going these days due to the intrusive service. Maybe it is because I am European myself, but I do not like having waiters asking to take away my plate every time I put my knife down (it is not unusual for a waiter to even grab my plate while I am still visibly chewing). Also, There seems to be a guy filling my water glass every time I take the smallest sip. There is a fine line between being attentive and being intrusive and unfortunately they are all too often on the wrong side of it. Then there are the "parrot-learned" descriptions the servers give of each dish. You might as well be served by a robot. As, I said, the food is truly great, it's a shame the service lets it down.
