Great food! Mythos beats the cookie cutter food found in Greek town. Pastichio was the best I have ever had in a restaurant, we ordered three for our party of four and had plenty left over for everyone to take home. I highly recommend Mythos.

We stopped in for dinner at Mythos and were pleasantly surprised at the warm soothing atmosphere, the friendliness and professionalism of the owners and staff and most of all,the quality of the food. Our dinner was excellent. The evening was very enjoyable and we will definitely return. A trip worth making from Downers Grove IL

Taking into consideration that the few bad reviews seem to come form people who were there at busy times, I and my two friends checked this place out on a sunday night. As soon as we walked in the door the hostess [owner?] greeted us as if we were old friends and she chatted with us on and off over the next two hours. The only disappointment was that the appetizer portions weren't really big, especially when being shared by three people. That was the only bad thing about the experience. We did have to wait a while for the food, but I did have the chicken reganate, which the waitress warned me would take 40 minutes. But we had appetizers, a bottle of wine [the BYOB is great! we appreciated saving a few bucks by bringing our own wine - there is a $5 corkage fee, though] and chatted with the hostess/owner. The food was worth the wait. After, we shared a slice of cake and some coffee and espresso and chatted more with our new best friend. I have nothing against Greektwon, but it seems like no one who eats there lives anywhere near there. At Mythos you are likely to see people you've sen around the neighborhood and the people who run the place seem real genuine, and everyone there sems like they want you there. I am still hesitant to go there on a friday or saturday and it is a little bit on the pricey side, but we will definitely be back again.

This restaurant tops all the Greek places I've been to. The appetizers of sausage with a hint of orange was delicious, along with three others that we ordered. The atmosphere was very pleasant and enjoyed the bells rung when saganagi was served. I can't wait to go back again soon. The two sister who own Mythos, Toni and Vicki, came to the table to make sure everything was just perfect (and it was) and to chat a moment with us. Two thumbs up.

My wife and I chose this new Greek hot-spot for our dinner this past weekend and were we ever impressed. Upon entering, the warm colors in the room and inviting staff helped my wife and I feel very comfortable about our choice for the evening. I must mention the main host and owner Toni and master Chef Vicki. There isn't much more to say but class! These two sisters have done it all and have the experience to back it up in the kitchen and in conversation. For our meal we tried the Saganaki as an appetizer and split the Pastichio dish and the included Egg-Lemon Rice soup which was fantastic! After the delicious bread and garlic butter, the saganaki was perfect and just the right appetizer for our meal. Next came the Pastichio which was just out of this world. It came in a more then reasonable sized glass dish and was layered with beef, noodles, and a bechamel sauce. My wife and I absolutely loved it! As for our desert dish we chose the house specialty made "Revani" slice. This was a very sweet sugar and honey mixture cake that hit every taste bud in my mouth. You can't find this type of food in Greek Town! Everything from the staff to the food presentation and taste was A-class . We will be back soon to test out some more of the mouthwatering menu choices. I highly recommend this location for the true Greek lifestyle and fine dining experience!

Our high hopes for this new Greek Restaurant in our neighborhood, were dashed. Very disappointing. We arrived early on a Friday night (6:15pm). Despite an empty restaurant, owner was pretentious about it being a busy night (tho she did have a party of 15 that came 45 mins. later), still it was obvious she had only a few other reservations, and many walk-ins came after us and got same "attitude". Next, they were OUT OF their signature dish – Braised Lamb. How can a Greek Restaurant not have Braised Lamb (esp. a "signature dish")? As for alt. of ordering Lamb Chops -- way overpriced at $28 (table next to us ordered it later, which we saw were thinly sliced, and appeared overcooked). Next, Sagnaki is not flamed at table (they claim to flame in kitchen - dubious as no taste of brandy) and no fun. Our Entrée of Roasted Greek Chicken was very salty and no “greek” seasoning could be tasted; and our 2nd enree described as ground beef and lamb, were like 3 small hamburgers, and were grossly undercooked (even after we complained and it was brought back to kitchen for re-cooking, it was still dangerously raw in the middle). Egg Lemon Soup side was bland, with no lemon taste. Veggie side was june peas and tasted ‘canned’. What happened to Okra or Eggplant as a Greek side (not even on menu). Finally, despite being the earliest customers to arrive and place our order, our main dishes did not arrive at our Table until 7:45 -- 1 1/2 hours after we ordered! NOT RECOMMENDED.

The BEST greek food I have EVER had! Saganaki is wonderful, the chicken reganate and mythos salad is amazing, the chicken is so moist and full of flavor! I absolutely love the desserts, we had baklava which was great! This restaurant blows greek town AWAY!!! :)

Ate there last night and beyond some issues with our less than stellar server, we loved it. The food is tremendous. Had a few of the spreads and saganaki for apps. All good, especially the 3-cheese, though they don't flame the saganaki in the dining room, so no "Opaa's" every 5 minutes. Based on how many we saw coming out of the kitchen, we had the pastichio, which I'd never even heard of, and it was fantastic and HUGE. 3 of us shared it and an order of lamb chops. Chops are thin (7/per order) and maybe a bit overpriced at $28 but very tasty. Their lemon-rice soup is the best I've ever had. The owner is very hands-on, fiery, lively, which helped to defuse my annoyance with our waitress. Tango Sur now has some serious BYO competition. And Mythos takes reservations...

We went to this gem of a restaurant last night and had a wonderful dinner. The Pastichio was fantastic, the Greek style chicken moist and delicious, homemade bread, lemon soup, and what an array of appetizers and deserts! I even ordered another container of soup to take home for my daughter. The place is very comfortable, the service friendly and attentive, and everyone made us feel at home. We will be back!
