I love Fenton Robison's "I hear Some Blues Downstairs" album! Fenton Robison had fantastic voice as well as a very unique guitar style! I had the privilige of seeing Robison and his band perform on many occasions, but the most outstanding performance happened about 1996 at Buddy Guy's Legends with a dynamite bassist name Floyd Jenkins {former guitarist for Eddie Snow}along with the late Luther taylor on sax,Graylin O neal on drums, and Billy Preston on keyboards, these guy were great! the albums are not as upbeat as fenton's live shows were, but still there are great songs on fenton albums and CD's such as"You Don't Know What Love Is,7-11 Blues,Teeny Weeny Bit Of Your Love,As The Years Go Passing By,Laundry Man,Country Girl,Going Way Out West,Mellow Fellow, and many others on Fenton Robison albums. Mr. Robison has and will be greatly missed, but his songs will always be a part of the blues culture.
