The first bad thing about this hotel was the not so good staff. I called once to ask something (before going to Chicago) and the person at the front desk put me on hold for 15 min, I hung up after that, so maybe i would wait for longer. The hotel was dirty. They claim they have Shuttle services, but they should say that the service is limited in schedule, so you better arrive at the airport after 3 pm and before 11 pm or you will have to pay for a cab (as I did). When I was finally going to use the shuttle I had to wait for it 40 min (the hotel is just 10 min away, but they don't seem to care about your time). Another false claim: Free high speed internet available, be aware that not only they don't have a computer for guests -you must have your own laptop if you really want to have internet access, but even with a laptop there was no wireless in range in our room, so I think that the "free internet connection" is just a fake. Will never stay there again and certainly will not recommend this hotel to anybody.

I can not believe that Days Inn doesn't condem the place to protect their name. Rooms looked to be in the condition of an abandoned home, nothing was safe and when I told the front desk that there were problems, she asked if I would like to check out.
The breakfast did include waffles....the frozen kind out of a box that after they were thawed and sitting out for 3 hours they put back into the box and into the freezer.
My safe was not even bolted to anything, just laying on the floor. My shower had no pressure if hot water, only cold. I had a business associate staying there as well and I had to kick the door multiple times in order for the regular door latch to release in order for her to get out of her room. She called the front desk but after 10 minutes they still had not come to her room so she called me.
What a dump!

I had a reservation for two nights at a Days Inn Melrose Park-Chicago. I arrived at 10:30 and was told that I they did not have any more available rooms for that night. I explained to the clerk that I had a reservation, gave my number, and was informed that the reservation was made for the incorrect night. In desperation, with smoke allergies, I had to suffer the night at a roach motel. I made a complaint with the manager and never heard back from him. I continued to call customer service and they are giving me the run around. It has been over a month since my incident and still have no response. In my opinion 1. When you make a reservation, it should be guaranteed. 2. When you make a mistake that BIG it should be made up that night. I should have been given an option for a different class room. 3. Customer service is making no attempt to help me. So, instead of having a bad experience at one hotel poorly managed, I wouldn't recommend the hotel in general to anyone. I miss the days when companies would bend over backwards for your business. It seems now that they do not give a damn for the customer, at any level. I am purely frustrated with them and will never go back there again.
