I have found the food at Horan's Snug well made, all American fare with the best corned beef in the Chicago area. The soups are great and everything is homemade.
It's a nice quiet place which accomodates families and singles.
The outdoor garden is great and offers privacy, which not many do.
There is a snug on the north end of the bar. Snug's were an area in a bar that women could come into and snuggle with their paramore in private. But, in this day and age its a bit archic and rather quaint, and the word snug has become another of the many references for bar.
