Dugan's is the epitome of a great Downtown Chicago bar without downtown prices. I find the comments by the previous poster as highly suspect. The clientel ranges from downtown workers, students, police, fire, and the trades of all nationalities and races. Just as a real Chicago bar should be.

When i first approached Dugan's with my two friends i expected to have a nice time but once i reached the inside of the bar i was targeted because i was black. Dugan's bartenders are prejudice and didn't like the fact that a white guy was hanging with two black girls so they never served us. The bartender actually rolled her eyes at him when he asked for 3 shots. Me and my friend went to the restroom and as we were walking to the back a group of guys said, "what the fuck are they doing here?" In short Dugans, its staff and its customers are racist.

I have been going to Dugans for many years now. I love going there because of the laid back type of crowd that always goes there. This is a really chill type of place. Oh! I can't forget all of the really hot sexy cops, detectives and firemen that frequent there. And by the way girls you will almost never buy your own beer there. The men always treat the females. You will always feel safe at this bar.

I do not recommend this place. The bartenders, especially the big one on Friday nights was rude. There should be hot babes working in a bar like this.
