I had previously tried the birria in a soup and didn't care for it (elsewhere). Zaragoza Restaurant's birria is the tastiest in the Chicagoland area, in my opinion. Their coffee is better than Starbucks and you have to try their molcajete salsa with quesadillas. Their birria is served with hand-made tortillas. It is a small outfit with character-- and the friendliest place around town.

This place is wonderful. The small family owned restaurant has a good feel and great smells. I have been in the industry for many years and this place is in my top ten in Chicago. It's a little off the beaten path, just what i like!
