I've walked by this place more than half a dozen times, and they have revamped their restuarant. Still the doorway looks like an ordinary ethnic diner, they have another room where it's intimately lit with the morrocan tent ceiling. I have not been to the dining room, but I ordered from their take out a cheeseburger and fries. I was pretty surprised how good it was, gourmet french baguette bun with cripsy and large fries. The burger itself was nicely charred, you can taste the smoke, but a tad dry, maybe if you sit in, try to get it medium, but overall a surprising find. There's a nice setup for an industrial size cappuccino machine, so the coffee and tea looks enticing (you can sniff the loose leaf teas at the counter), so the next time I walk past, that is my next thing to order.

The blue line moroccan grill and bakery was touted by several musicians in chicago so eight of us decided to take the ride out there and try it. Well, according to our friendly (and very helpful) server, they have just changed their name to SHOKRAN (arabic for 'thank you very much') with a new and improved menu to include couscous and tagine dishes. We started with the ZAALOUK and TAKTOUKA appetizers which were served with fresh baked sliced baguette; the appetizers that were simply bursting with flavors. We then ordered 3 tagines; fish, lemon chicken, and lamb. NOW WE WERE THERE; looking around at the posters of moroccan scenery made us feel like we were in the marketplace in MARRAKECH; as fresh as it could be. WE have been to MOROCCO and this was truly authentic MOROCCAN COOKING. Some of the best we have ever had; our compliments to the chef; you have really captured the great flavors of Morocco! ALL eight of us agreed that this dinner was one of the best we have had in CHICAGO; bursting with flavors and priced right! Fresh meats and vegetables, wonderful couscous, and don't forget to order a side of their homemade merguez; cooked on the grill really made the flavors come through! We all agreed that we must make this place a regular on our favorite restaurants list; easy to remember because we all left telling the owner "SHOKRAN"; and what a nice guy! We could tell that he loves to cook!!! We certainly will be back!
