Eaten there several times and have had for the most part a very enjoyable meal. Love the live bands on the weekends.

Have visited this place a few times and have shared many appetizers with friends. The only one I would care to indulge in again would be the spinach dip that is accompanied by yummy pita bread chips. As for the venue, it houses a stage and good entertainment can be found there on a Saturday night, but I would definitely check their website before heading over there. Not the type of place I would drive over 20 minutes to experience, but a good place for the SW suburban locals. Keep in mind if you are looking for a place to talk or catch up with friends, don't go during the live entertainment. It gets super loud and it is hard to carry on a conversation. Other than that the drinks were well made and priced right around what you would expect. More specials would be nice.

Advertised in Suburban Nitelife as a bar with a cajun menu and a Fat Tuesday party with drink specials. Very nice looking place, and that's where it ends. The food is supposedly cajun, and it's mediocre at best. The crab cakes were good, but the jambalaya was downright awful and runny, and I've had better gumbo out of a can (Healthy Choice's canned gumbo it years beyond this stuff. At least it has okra in it). The waitress was severely non-attentive and didn't even know the difference between shrimp & crab on eggplant (which we didn't order) and the crawfish etoufee (which we did), which the waitress blamed on the cook. Not to mention, we were over charged $30 for drinks, and billed for food we didn't order (the etoufee-eggplant thing). And all of this on top of a band that makes sure the amps go to 11 in a place that's small. Our first time there, and definitely the last.

I recently went into 191 south and I was very impressed with their drink specials and their service. They have an awesome rollback menu with the cheapest prices. I got my meal for $4.75. I will go back there quite often!!!

I have to say I was not very Optimistic Going in to the bar since it used to be old Murphy's. However I was wrong, me and my Group sat for dinner we tried the Cajun fare and we all enjoyed it The Kick'n Combo was tasty and huge. I had the blackened pork chops for my meal and let me tell you I could only eat one there was so much food ,and the Band that night was also fantastic. I think 191 South is going to be on our dinner and enterainment radar for quite some time. I recomend going for dinner and staying for the music.
