I went to this haunted house last week with my two best friends. It would be really scary for children ages 5-10. For older people ages 11-? it would not be scary. When you enter "Hotel Massacre" you buy your tickets, and walk into a waiting room. You wait a LONG time to enter and after that you go through 4 different rooms to hear the rules of the hotel. All people do in the haunted house is jump out at you from the side and from fake windows. When you exit you walk into a bar. It was not scary. They can't touch you and they can only jump out at you and chase you. When I was in there a vampire spit in my ear. I bet that's not a rule! I'm 12 and I was NOT scared at all! Take it from me.

Dont bother wasting your time energy or money! This is Biggest joke of a haunted house. I went to this haunted house last year and it was bad but at least the makeup jobs kept it interesting. This year everything is WEAK. If walking through a halloween store and having a bunch of kids scream in your face scares you ..then this is the haunted house for you.

I enjoyed many aspects of this haunted house. The scenes were pretty cool. They have you check in at the lobby. Some of the scenes like the pirate ship and cemetery didn’t really fit in with a hotel theme, though. That really didn’t make much sense. I really think that their advertising is very misleading, though. “Voted Scariest in the Midwest” is posted on the main page of their website. When I saw that, I had high hopes going into this thing, but was disappointed on my way out. There were some great scares, but I would rate the scare factor somewhere in the average category for this type of event. But it definitely wasn’t “Scariest in the Midwest”. Besides, this is only the event’s second season, so how could it achieved such accolades in one year? The problem is, when you make false claims like that, charge a fortune to get in, then don’t back up all the hype with a quality performance… that is when you have disgruntled customers who never come back. I feel cheated and I think that they misrepresented their event as something more than it was, just for the sake of turning a profit. BUT, don’t let my little rant discourage you from going. It is a decent haunted house and it’s pretty fun, albeit high priced. Just don’t expect it to be some world-class Disney type thing or some "rip your heart out" screamfest, cause it ain’t!

A lot of fun - but could have been a much longer experience. Definatly recommend - IF - you can find one of the $5 off general admission coupons they have at most of the Halloween stores (Got mine at Halloween USA on 59 and Jefferson)

Crazy haunted house! Definiately worth the wait! There are so many rooms and you never know what is going to jump out at you next. Even waiting outside to get in is exciting. I would recommend to everyone.
