Not so much a review as a comment... Kayla's is in a neighborhood I like to call RoscoeSquareDale.... For it is not in Roscoe Village, not in Logan Square and not in Avondale, yet close to all....

DONT AGREE WITH OTHER REVIEW. ENVIORNMENT WAS NICE AND COMFORTABLE. LIGHTING WAS SET FOR A ROMANTIC SETTING. FOOD WAS GREAT AND PRICE WAS FAIR. SERVICE WAS IN TIMELY FASHION. I WILL RECOMMEND OTHERS TO THIS RESTAURANT.

.. one of the very worst experiences I've encountered at a restaurant.. this place has no idea what the term 'service' means.. on a Saturday evening, with the place only 80% full.. putting two seperate orders in, 50 minutes apart, and getting both orders within a 5 minute bracket (80-90 minutes after the first order was put in!) is what I call a severely amateur eatery. I still have no idea who our actual waiter was.. even asking several times for simple things such as a bucket to chill wine (as it IS a BYOB establishment) and getting no results.. and when all of this was addressed with the floor manager more than a few times, he laid the blame entirely on us. Way to go, you ignorant ass. At best, the food was average, but by no means worth the 2 1/2 hours sitting there. To all who are contemplating eating here, I can safely say that you may enjoy yourself much more, elsewhere.
