Good for quiet one-on-one dinners. You can actually engage in a conversation. Great also for family hooplas. The staff knocks itself out to accommodate any number of old grannies and their offstpring. The food is elegant. It's my favorite special place.

have known the family that runs this family for a while... they run a great quaint restaurant with great seafood and the waitstaff are so friendly! chilean sea bass: yum. their seafood is really good and they are affordable. parking was also convenient in the garage. there's a lot of history to the property too. Their decor was a lil outdated, but that will change after this weekend, everyone should try EBC for themselves!

You cannot go wrong here. The garage parking is $3 and the building is a landmark. The service and entire experience left me wanting to become a regular!

The DUCK is to die for. The escargot dipped with a lil bread is worth the reincarnation =)

Without a doubt, Chicago's best kept secret. The owner and his son provide delightful service and the owner's wife produces a variety of wonderful selections. The clients are friendly and often chat from one table to another. A piano player delights the patrons with a terrific selection of background music.

Very warm and attentive service. Well rounded menue with daily specials.
Favourites: Shrimp appetizer is not to be missed. Large grilled shrimps served on warm baby spinach with goat cheese.
Signature dish is roast duck breast with calvdos (apple) sauce.
Chilean sea bass with white been is outstanding.
Very modest price and you can park in the building.
