Mark Tuttle was a student of mine beginning when he was a sophomore at Hoover High School in Des MOines, Iowa. He studied with me for more than five years and in my opinion he is one of the finest saxophonists I have ever heard or worked with. His playing is on a level with Wayne Shorter and Sonny Rollins and I hope that someone besides myself has discovered this fact.
