What a great course! It’s a shame that they do not cut the fairways and roughs down correctly. The layout from tee box to tee box gives a player a challenge at ever level of the game, from the red, white, blue, and black tees. However, when hitting a spectacular tee shot down the middle is a great feeling for any one in the game, not here, your only reward is finding your ball! The fairways are cut so that it covers over half of your ball and the rough is so high that you would be lucky if you find it. You really need to pay close attention to where your ball lands in the rough to help you keep the pace of play. Also, bring an extra spine, shoulders, and wrists because you’re sure to feel the strain by the end of your round. The course is tough enough in it’s own right! But, keeping it in this kind of conditions for a player is sure ludicrous and inconsiderate to the person who pays to play here.

When is the last time you literally mashed your drive right down the middle of the fairway and needed help finding your ball?
When is the last time you hit the green and needed to use your sand wedge to putt because the greens were in "primary cut" condition?
When was the last time you consistently had "flyer" lies in the middle of the fairway because the fairway was an "inch" thick?
Well, damn, it only leaves one course that can challenge you to that level and it is, without a doubt, BON VIVANT!!!
Utterly, inexcusable the way they keep this course. Very nice layout but it is in horrible condition. Absolutely, no excuse for this course to have "shag" for greens and "rough" for fairways.
Trust me, you don't want to go there for this. Even if the price is extremely nice...the end result is that you will mess your game up because you need to "slug" your putts, and solicit a search party in the fairway for you ball.
No excuse at all for this!

I really enjoy the layout of the championship course. I only wish that they would keep the grass cut down to a reasonable level on a more consistent basis. When the course is taken care of, it's great. But, it is very inconsistent. I never know what to expect when I go play there. It's unfortunate.
