MAKING ART makes its world debut on stage at Gorilla Tango Theatre on 10/10 at 10:00 pm. I wanted to share some advanced reviews the Janet Arvia's play has received from several sources:

“Funny and fresh. A wonderful and slightly bizarre romantic comedy. Very funny and enjoyable.” — Chicago Screenwriter's Group

“The hardest thing to do is create characters that the audience is interested in, let alone cares about, and [MAKING ART] accomplished that mission. There is something special here.” — Slamdance

“Janet Arvia’s characters are sexy, humorous and painfully real; great roles to showcase talented actors.” — Sad Hat Productions

“Witty and clever. Quirky and contagious humor.” — Arkansas Arts Council

“Funny and entertaining.” — Barry R. Sisson, Producer of Charlie’s Party

MAKING ART runs from October 10-15. Tickets are $15. Reserve your seats at www.gorillatango.com

I saw the Jackie Wilson Story in Washington DC, while the Black Ensemble was on tour. Mr. Gregory was great as Jackie Wilson, but Valarie Tekosky, "Etta James", stoled the show. That actress is all that! A booming voice & presence! I'm sure Ms. Tekosky is headed for Broadway.

I had the opportunity to see Ms. Valarie Tekosky protraying Etta James in the Jackie Wilson Story at the Black Ensemble Theatre. This actress is awesome. I hope to see her on Broadway. What a performance - what a voice for such a small lady, what an actress. She was just awesome! A joy and pleasure to watch. She will have a huge career!
