Terrible service, so-so food. I booked a party for about 20 people in the Flatlanders private room in January. When I arrived at the appointed time 3 days later the temperature in the room was 50F. The staff was unapologetic, explaining that it takes "a while" to heat the room and it's expensive to heat the restaurant as a whole. Manager stated that restaurant did not have space heaters, but about 15min later brought us 2 space heaters. It took about 2 more hours to get to 60F. Appetisers were OK, but entries were pretty bad. Meat overcooked. It appeared that waiter was doing us a favor by serving the party. Terrible experience over all.

Wow is the one word that describes my visit to Flatlander's. I stopped in to check it out on a monday night in the bar, the brews were the best I have had anywhere from a micro brewery in Illinois and the crowd was huge. They do an open mic on mondays and was I ever impressed with the quality of the entertainment and the friendliness of the staff. I came back for dinner the friday after xmas and was blown away by the taste and quantity of the food. Talk about a great deal! I reccomend the Cider Chicken and 80 Schilling Ale, mmmmmm....
