My husband and I have been going to Fondue Stube for over 25 years. WE LOVE IT!!! It is our favorite restaurant. We go for our birthdays, anniversary and just whenever the mood hits us. Carol and her staff are all great. Very friendly. We actually eat very little all day because we know there will be plenty of food served to us. I hope this place never goes away.

To all the negative reviews, you don't know what you are talking about. I have been going to the Fondue Stube for 29 years, since my 18th birthday and have been back every year since. The food is excellent and plentiful. The owner and the staff have always been very efficient, courteous and down right nice people. The decor is not the fanciest but the fondue is the best. I have also been to Geja's and Melting Pot but while their food is okay they are way overpriced and the wait at Geja's can be horrible, plus you feel like you are eating in a cave. I will continue to go to the Fondue Stube as long as they exist.

This place has the best fondue in town! It might not have the classy decor but the food is where it is at!!! The best cheese and chocolate and a must try is adding the peanut butter --mmm just like eating a melted Reece's Cup!! As far as some of the negative comments on here -- well I'm not sure they have tried fondue elsewhere!! A must try before it is gone!!!

Fondue stube is a great restaurant. i would like to go there at least once a week or month. my favorite food that i get to cook is steak, and the chicken, those are the best. The desert is very yummy and i like the white chocolate.

I've been going to Fondue Stube for about 20 years. The food is amazing and the staff and owner are absolutely wonderful. This is not an every week place which is why I'm still amazed that they remember us and they know our order. Best Fondue in Chicago!

Okay...for all of you non-believers...this is the ABSOLUTE BEST RESTAURANT IN THE WORLD!!! My best friend and I have been going here, on average, 6 times a year for at least the last 5-6 years. The service is absolutely amazing (WE LOVE YOU JUSTIN!!)...as is Carol, the owner...we adore her!!! The staff there has made this restaurant what it is... The atmosphere is fantastic...the music is beautiful...and the food is TO DIE FOR!!! WE LOVE THE FONDUE STUBE!!!

The food was okay, but the service was really good. We had a very nice waiter and the bus boy was SUPER cute!!! My family thought it was okay but I really liked it, but I was more into the bus boy than anything else.

Oh please... How long did you complainers sit there and visit?
Agreed the place could use a bit of updating, but my party of four sat there on all you can eat night for 3 hours, and spent $100 including 3 bottles of wine. Try doing that in any other restaurant, you bunch of fondue snobs, and stop trying to get something for nothing. Cant wait to go back.

My friends and I went there on a Saturday night and had a great evening - enjoyed the food, the service was great (they were friendly and never hesitated in bringing out more sauces or veggies - there was always plenty to eat), and the atmosphere was fun. The owner was also very hospitable.
