I have eated at this place a number of times, and every single time the food was fantastic. I've been to Mexico, lived in Texas for 30 years, and this is better than any place I have ever found. The wait staff is okay and never had any problems at all. However, even if the wait staff were to suck, the food is worth it. I can suffer for some great Mexican like I found here. God Bless this place!

Wow, I can't believe that all of the people are giving bad reviews! This place is phenomenal!!! I have been to Mexico and have never had better Flan! The staff has always been extremely polite and I've NEVER had a problem and I have been coming to Garcia's for years. Yes, the seating is tight but it's very intimate. The margaritas are delicious and the Flautas Dinner can't be beat. At $8.00 you get four large flautas, lettuce, tomato, more than enough sour cream and guac, a good size scoop each of rice and beans (smothered in cheese). The only downer is the parking but your reward is great.
I love Garcia's and will continue to frquent it for years to come.

Garcia's has decent food. Being of Mexican decent I find that their food is very Americanized and lacks flavor. For a fast quick bite it's a good choice, way better than Taco Bell. However, the service is HORRIBLE! I think management needs to fire all those so called waitresses and hire some friendly faces.

Bad Experiences at Garcia'a....Continued....
Well, to my surprise she said in a RUDE manner "That's All We Have!!" and refused to even return the fries to the cook to show him and walked away. Well I have Never seen anyone So Unprofessional and RUDE, so I called her over to the table and told her how I felt to no avail....she should Know Better than to treat customers as rude as that if a customer is unhappy with a food order as small and trivial as an order of fries, you should apologize and agree to remake them and not just reply "That's All We Have!!" I have been patronizing Garcia's for many years and have alway's felt welcome from the Owner, Oscar, Rigo and Lenny when he worked there.....But after my Two bad Experiences with her I don't see myself returning to Garcia's Because of her RUDE and Unprofessional Behavior.

Bad Experiences at Garcia's from waitress/cashier
I frequent Garcia's restaurant on a regular basis and the food is good except for the Two Times that one of the manager's/cashier waited on my friends and I. The first bad experience I had was when I ordered two carry out taco dinners I specifically requested that my two 3 taco dinners please be placed in dinner boxes, but when I arrived, all of the tacos were wrapped up and stuck together in wax paper and aluminum foil. So I told her that I requested that the tacos be put in a dinner box. She replied in a RUDE manner that I have to ask for them that way, I replied that I did order them that way, and she refused to redo my order. Second Bad experience from ....She was covering the table that my son and I were having lunch at and I ordered some French Fries with my dinner and they came late to the table and they were saturated in oil and cold as if they were double fried in little broken up pieces. So I asked if she could have the cook remake the french fries because they were unacceptable. Continued on next review.....

Food is fast and cheap. Always crowded not that good to stand up and wait. I do not agree with the review of the staff. When my family tried to speak spanish the waitress gave a dirty look and said we speak english just fine. The waitstaff is not friendly at all and you would be better off going to Los Nepoles just down the street. We have found hair in our food twice now and the bathrooms are filthy.

Good place to stop by for late munchies! Food is good for the price you pay. Had a few "wrong" orders from there, but what can you say. Not the greatest, but will do when you are low on cash and nothing else is open. Love the orchata!!

Excellent vegitarian burrito and super easy on the wallet! I know a dude who actually eats a burrito from here everyday because they're so filling and cheap!

By far some of the best Mexican food in the best city! Open late, the staff is great, they make fresh pico de gaillo every day! Burritos are massive, tostadas to die for, great tortas. Great for vegitarians too! A great neighborhood resturaunt, some of the best I have ever had!

LOVE the steak torta sandwich with an ice cold glass of orchata drink. The salsa is extremely fresh and so goooood. No pretentious food here - just solid, well seasoned and fresh and you absolutely cannot beat the price - an excellent value. Oh, the rice and beans also rock.
