We had this for christmas and i still rember the good taste. I love the ribs and the bread is Seriously good and comes with a honey type butter. I had the mozzerella sticks, though they are ok they did not cook them thoroughly but are ok eitherways.BUt the main reason to go here is for the RIBS!!!

love to sit in the bar area at the gale street inn and order the best oysters rockefeller i ever ate. creamed spinach and bacon top these huge oysters on the half shell....we accompany with their great spinach bread, drink a few of their icy martinis and the have the warm bread pudding with vanilla sauce for dessert. What a meal! BTW the ribs are tasty too!

My opinion? This place is just mediocre. It's a little too dark for my preference and makes me wonder what they're hiding. The wiatress was friendly, knowlegeable, and helpful. Though when I saw the manager yelling at the help I was appalled. When I inquired as to the name of the manager, the bartender said he was the owner! Lost my patronage right there.

These ribs are honestly the best I've ever had. Service and atmosphere are also top-notch. One of my favorite restaurants in chicago no doubt.

None of us had been there before, and we will gladly go back on Phyllis' night off. Food reviews are great, service reviews are questionable. I'm used to waitresses being in a hurry, but not because we are keeping them from a seeing a local Def Leppard tribute band down the street. All agreed that the ribs were outstanding, and the double baked potatoes deserve top billing in the potato option.

Not a positive visit to the Gale Street Inn in Chicago (Milwaukee ave) for me. It's not all that! The ribs were average. The Cobb salad had too much turkey. The menu did not have any good apetizers. The only nice thing about this place was the decor. Service was also average. I do have an important complaint: The owner belittled a busboy right in front of customers! That's unaceptable behavior! I will NEVER visit the Gale Street Inn and I will let friends and family know why.
NOTICE: This is NOT the OFFICIAL Gale Street Inn website. These reviews are a forum for opinions about the venue that other Centerstage Chicago users may want to know, not to order merchandise, apply for a job, etc.
