Best Indian food in town and in North America. I have traveled extensively all over India and North America, I have never had such authentic Indian food anywhere in the USA. All their dishes are delightful, flavorful ; try their Chicken Gaylord, Yellow Dal, Rajasthani Roti, Rogan Josh. The restaurant requires our support and sponsorship.

I received a bonus at work, in the form of a gift card Gaylord Restaurant. So off we went with two other couples. Their Family Style feast was great! You order two main courses and appetizers and desserts and pass it around, family style. It was so delicious and I cannot wait to go back. Had it not been for the gift card, I am not sure how long it would have taken me to discover this place! I am so glad I did.

I eat at Indian restaurants at least twice a week, I can't cook at all :) Food is hit or miss, can be great and poor at different times, but usually good. The service - VERY hit or miss. Sometimes OK, and other times absolutely horrendous. I've seen customers get into verbal arguments with the staff here, very strange. They will also try to over-charge a lot, not sure how they manage this. I used to frequent their Clark St location a lot, but I've been turned in recent months. Hopefully they fix some of these issues at the new 100 E Walton location, looking forward to giving them another try.

For me food is an art, your mouth is the plait. This restaurant tingles each of your taste-bubs. My husband and I tried Gaylord’s and knew that it would be spectacular enough to take our clients.
You may think when they come to your table with small quantities of food that you are going to be hungry after this meal. Be amazed as the food is filling, the staff is very friendly it will be an enjoyable meal and experience.
I would place them on my company website for all clients to view when they are looking for a great place to eat and friendly service. Look for them on my site at www.leapcareer.com under the links page. Deborah President of Leap Career Chicago

There are some of Chicago's most miserable and rudest people working at this place. I would not reccomend it to anyone! Even for takeout (which is how we encountered this people) they are horribly mean and talked down to us. I can't even imagine what it is like to sit down and eat there.

Went there last night at 5:20. There was only one other table occupied, but it still took over 5 minutes to get room temprature water, even though we could see 3 completly indiffrent managers at the front, talking and looking out the window. I had to approach one of them to take my order. Although it was dead, it took almost 40 minutes to get our food. In the mean time, while talking with my friend, I saw a roach crawling on the wall behind him. I told the manager, and he removed it, and never came back to apologize or explain!!!!! I tried to get my friend to leave, but he felt uncomfortable doing so, so we actually ate the food, which was good accross the board, but the entire staff were miserable people, almost on the border of contemptous. I would never go back, and intend to make sure others are forewarned!!!

They added an 18 per cent service fee to the final bill, so you should be carefull when you pay tips. You actually don't need to pay a tip. They will not tell you that the service charge is included and they hope that you pay extra. I was fooled and I feel cheated

This place was really bad. We went for a buffet and decided never to step into this restaurant again.
To start with the food was cold. The ambience was poor. There was some brown stuff leaking from the roof. It was pathetic. We could not finish our lunch.
The service was bad. The management had charged an automatic gratuity of 20 percent for a party of 3!! Stay away Folks ! There are a lot of other good Indian restaurants in Chicago..
