I miss this place because I live in Boston now-- great memories from back in the day 80's and 90's-- best slices anywhere..

BEST pizza place around. No where in the world will you get this great pizza and such great service. This place is so accomodating and the owner is so wonderful. The place is super clean and the whole menu is delicious. The best prices around and the dough and sauce are all fresh and homemade.

Horrible restaurant. The bathrooms are filthy and the food is so greasy each taco comes with 1/2 cup of grease free that just drips off the taco.
They are also some of the rudest people ever and the food is marginally good at best. You'll get a heart attack if you even try to eat their taco, torta, or sausages and their burger is crap because they only put white mozzerela cheese on it instead of american.
This place suffers from serious management issues and always gets the order wrong.
If you want pizza, try Lou Malnati's, Philly's Best, or Papa John's and if you want italian beefs, tacos or anything like that just go to D&D Dogs. Same price without the garbage.

When I think of community and how pizza makes a difference in the City of Evanston, I am certain that you will agree that Gigio's is the best.
The owner, Julio Andino, has given his life to teaching and building champions with each slice of the most flavorfilled entree in town. I remember when I was a kid, Class of '70, I met the over excited Ecuadorian owner of Gigio. He gave me a slice and asked me how did I like it. I said little or nothing, because my mouth was full with italian sausage, cheese and a tomato sauce that made you go, "M-m-m-m-m..."
It is to this day I would not hesitate to pay a hundred bucks for a slice of the pie that is fit for kings, queens and champions.

This pizza is delicious!! The tacos are also really good - tons of meat for really cheap. The service is also really friendly. I highly recommend it for a good, cheap meal.
