Like most of Forest Park, the atmosphere is a little too conservative for me. People frowned at my partner when he put his arm around me. Oak Park on Lake st had much more to offer.

A grand place. I had my very own Irish wake there before leaving for my country and my home in Ireland.rally, they caries me from bar to bar in a borowed casket with me poing out at each stop, lot's of fun. manager is Mike martin. he can drink a ton and dance a bundle. Got chow and an absence of attitude

Healy's can be counted on for an open, pleasant atmosphere, especially the front part near the windows. Tables are far enough apart that you can avoid cigarette smoke most of the time. However, they need to train their table waitstaff better. They hire the most uninspired folks I have ever seen, who wrap their fingers around the top rim of the glass (unsanitary), ignore you if they're trying to finish their shift, don't smile, and look at you like you're from another planet if you have a question other than "where's the bathroom." I have been a frequent patron and this has been a consistent problem.

Healy's is my favorite! They have great food, live music, and some of the best bartenders around. If you're in the area you have to check it out.
