It's a good spot for after-show relaxing...whether it's a show at the Viaduct or Beat Kitchen...we always stop here.

If you are cool, you will love it here.

It's got a 60's neighborhood vibe with the heart of todays artists running through it. It's a culture cocktail at it's frothiest. Janis the bartender rocks the scene to a frothy concoction. It is the perfect blend of booze, brains and laid back love. There is no pretence here. Just a wicked layed back groove. You can handle it

Yes, I have to agree, this is my favorite bar in Chicago and not just because it is 3 blocks from my house. You would walk straight past it if it weren't for that Leinenkugel neon sign. But inside, there is a good living-room kind of feel, great music always buzzing in the background, and everyone just looks Happy. Simple. Artsy without pretense. Good, inexpensive drinks with the goal of conversation and overall life-enjoyment.

the bar i wished i owned. spent every night of an otherwise dull 3 week trip in this place. if you don't walk in and say 'YES', there's a sports bar a couple of doors down.

My favorite bar in Chicago - it's low key, inexpensive, unpretentious, good jukebox and friendly owners & staff. Walls are adorned with quirkly local art and whatnot. Not a hangout for hipsters or yuppies, just a neat neighborhood bar patroned by out of the ordinary locals, college grads, musicians and the young at heart.
