Part 2 . I said I would have gladly waited to eat the cake outside of the restaurant if I had known we would incur a $25 fee. She refused to compromise. I finally said, in this economy, are you really willing to piss off a group of people who live in this area? Because I will never come back to this restaurant and I'll tell everyone I know about my experience, as well as write a review. She said go ahead, you are still paying a $25 cake fee! She then came back and said, you know you are actually getting a good deal because I should charge $2 a person (which would have been less than $25 -- apparently her math skills are as good as her people skills). And she THEN said, I have enough common sense to know that any restaurant I go to is going to charge me if I bring in outside food, to which I asked if she was insinuating that I had no common sense. She rolled her eyes and abruptly walked away. I will NEVER step foot in that establishment again, and I hope you don't either!

My experience at this restaurant was so AWFUL the owner actually encouraged me to write this review. So here you go, Jane. We called ahead to make a reservation at 12 for a birthday celebration. We stood outside in the cold until 12:30 pm, when our table was finally ready (there was no room to accommodate our wait inside). Our waitress told us about the specials and we proceeded to order. Unfortunately, after 3 of us ordered the special, the waitress came back to tell us they only had 2 left. Apparently, everything in this restaurant is "pre-made". Because of that, they can't make any special accommodations, and obviously they run out of food. I mean, how can you run out of your "special" brunch item at 12:30 on a Sunday? The kicker is when my friend stood up to cut the cake. The owner came over to the waitress and told her there was a $25 "cake fee". This is obviously ridiculous so I went to talk to the owner. She immediately raised her voice at me and spoke in an extremely condescending manner. I explained how so far we had to wait 30 minutes for reservation, couldn't order what we wanted, and that we had let the restaurant know our reservation was for a birthday.

I have been a longtime Jane's patron but will NEVER go back. They are going downhill fast! We had dinner there and they ruined our evening. The service was horrible, they were out of several wines and entrees and 2 of our 3 meals were tasteless. I regret all the times I recommended people dine there and STRONGLY recommend you do not go.
