Simply the best Chinese around. I often have lovely dreams of the Orange Chicken. The large portion will fill up you and you hungriest friend. The delivery is crazy fast. Got my dinner in 8 min. once, and never longer than 15.

I also go back to the days when Jeany's was on the 2nd floor of a building further east, and I watched the slow slide in quality and service near the end. I'm really surprised by the one or two negative reviews here (about food quality) because I think the food is terrific in every respect. Yes, the tastes are a bit different as one might expect with a different chef, but the taste is every bit as good as ever. And the delivery time! It seems that their order taker is clairvoyant! I can almost hang up my phone and head for the front door to pay...

When the new owners took over Jeanny's, they definitely improved service and the atmosphere. The problem is, the food isn't very good anymore. It actually makes me sad because I have been going there for years, but the food isn't up to par any longer.

I must say that I ADORE New Jeanny's! The food is fresh, flavorful and generous in portion. The new decor and food is a VAST improvement over the old Jeanny's (the old Jeanny's always seemed sticky and grimy and the service was often surly or, at the best, indifferent). Deilvery is incredibly fast and the food arrives piping hot and absolutely delicious! The staff, from manger, to servers to delivery drivers are kind, friendly and seem intent on making your dining experience wonderful. I am a big fan of the Fish with Mixed Vegetables. I always request SUPER SPICY and am NEVER disappointed! The fish (sole) is delicate and flaky with a wide array of fresh vegetables in a light, yet spicy (well -- that's my request) sauce. Special requests (such as making a non-spicy dish extremely spicy) are handled with no fuss! Give New Jeanny's a try. I'm sure you will be pleased!

i disagree with the review written for this restaurant - i'm chinese and love the food at new jeanny's, can't get a better compliment than that!
the food is yummy, the service is fast, and the new staff is very friendly. plus, cute girls work there.

I too miss Jeanny and the original menu. I have to admit though that the new food and menu is very good. The poritons are gi-normous and the delivery service is SUPER fast. I particularly like the Orange Beef and their Pot Stickers. I and my parents ate at Jeanny's since it was next to The Alley further east on Belmont, but we've decided to stick with the new Jeanny's as well.

I have to agree with the latest review. I was very sad to learn they changed management as well as the menu. I've been ordering Jeanny's 7 years now. The delivery may not have been the fastest, but the food was incredible. I miss Jeanny's Red Hot Special! I will say the crab rangoons were tasty and much bigger. But can one dine on crab rangoons alone?
I am desperately looking for a new Chinese restaurant to call home. I can't find anything as good as the old Jeanny's.

This is possibly the tastiest Chinese food in Lakeview. Try the Mongolian Beef and the General Tso's Chicken. They're both winners. The soups are perfect - not too salty. Prices incredibly reasonable!
