Dont ever go to this shit hole... The drinks are over priced weird middle age dudes.. and plus never pay with credit card they made a fraudulent charge to my credit card for 100 dollars when I only paid for 13.00 worth of beer... Dont go there, there are way better places in Chicago dont waste your money or time... On the other hand the bouncers are idiots and the bartenders seem like they failed their 3rd grade math class, they have no idea how to add up the prices for your drinks. In one word: terrible

Katacomb has been around for awhile its been knows as a great underground stop. And as of recent with the new management and promotions it has brought a lot of new life to it. Great Music, good looking crowd and its open late! Def. plus!!!

I came from washington dc for new years last year and went to Katacomb. the only good thing was the open bar!! they didnt have tv's and played no hip hop what so ever. if it wasnt for the open bar and fact that i didnt really know where to go, we would have been out!!

recently tried katacomb again with some friends on a whim and was pleasantly surprised. the only 4 oclock place to go in the area!!! the vibe was different from the norm--dark and mysterious was a good change of pace from the typical bar scene and club crowd. the music was great adn the bartenders poured strong drinks for the price.. i think they are under new ownership as it is better than before!

This place used to be an awesome underground vibe/scene. Everyone was welcome from every part of chicago. Now under the new management has lost all of its character. Unfortunate chicago lost another gem from its famed night club atmosphere.

Katacomb is a very dangerous place to go to especially with the violent bouncers they have. I saw these abusers beat down 2 young men to a pulp! DON'T GO to KATACOMB, these people need to shut down.

I've yet to visit Katacomb but intend to this weekend... I think there site needs to be updated if I'm reading this right? This was posted in 2003??? The resident DJ info needs to be updated... my little brother, DJ SPONTANEOUS, is on the wheels... EVERYBODY should see him spin and dance to his beats at least once in life!!!! Not just cause he's my bro...HE IS ONE OF THE MIDWEST'S BEST DJ'S!!!! Check him out...I've been a fan for 15 years!!!! He's the REAL DEAL!!!! Peace ~1~

This past Saturday night we visited the club for the first time. My girlfriend was assaulted be a group of men right when we walked in the door. When I tried to stop them, the men attacked me. After the bouncer pulled them off my back the manager apologized for their behavior and escorted us out the back door. We won't be returning.

The ceiling is incredibly low - so tall people beware. The music is good, but the drinks are generally overpriced. The bartenders and dj are incredibly friendly; the latter is more than willing to play whatever song you're looking for. Otherwise, the bar is kind of small and cramped but the decor can be amusing.

Beware of the KamaSutra drawings and nipples on the wall. This place is a lot of fun if you bring your friends. Small, fun, and the staff is awesome! I went when Sheque was hosting a KettleOne Martini night and Mac Makeovers. Check this place out!
