My wife and I have eaten here at least 50 times since I moved into the neighborhood in '98. The food is straight forward bistro fare, normally well prepared, reasonably priced. On my most recent visit, I ordered a bottle of wine and was brought the wrong vintage, which the waiter tried to pass off as the one I had ordered. By the time he brought my second choice I was half through my meal. When I pointed out the delay he immediately started an argument which escalated to the owner who was unapologetic and downright nasty. This place has become a stereotype for the Parisian Tourist experience. Emphasis on the extremely rude behavior. There are many establishments with better food and MUCH better manners elsewhere in Chicago!

Have eaten here many, many times. The staff has always been very pleasant, service good and food wonderful!

I have been here multiple times. All the entrees are fantastic, and they have a very decent selection of specials on any given night. Even the bread is worth mentioning! Le Bouchon is not only about good food, it is also about recreating a little portion of Paris in the middle of Chicago. Therefore you should expect a GREAT deal of smoke, as the French are all about carcinogens. The prices are decent, though as always the wine is where their money is made. If you can tolerate the rather small bistro style quarters and the smoke I highly recommend it.

there are a few things going for this place - good food, and great location. Unfortunately this restaurant is terribly cramped and has potentially the worst wait staff in the city of chicago. They put the 'wait in waiter/waitress. The food is decently priced but the staff seems to have never tried any of it. I would rather eat elsewhere.

I love this place. And the only thing that could ruin it would be an idiot blowing cancer air into my face. I hope chicago follows NY in outlawing smoking indoors. The food is the best for the buck in the city. no doubt.
