My friends and I had the worst pizza ever at the Leona's in Rogers Park. It was cold when they brought it out, as if that is even possible!? Did they take it out of the freezer and microwave it? Our server took it back and "reheated" it which just left it a semi-charred mess. At least she tried...
Then the crotchety manager with the burned out dye job got involved and trying to resolve the situation- we had seen her when we walked in, couldn't have been more stand off-ish, arms crossed with a sneer surrounded by employees doing NOTHING. She apologized for the pizza and said the kitchen was busy, even though there were people just standing around and the restaurant was empty. Needless to say for the whole ordeal we were offered free desert- just one... for the five of us!
Not good stay away from this location!

i really love leonas, always quick seatting, good and a lot of food..great waitstaff, very friendly people. There is only one lady I guess is the manager?..always look very upset and unhappy and moody.

I'm glad others have had good experiences at Leona's. My friends and I have had some of the worst service experiences imaginable, including a time when the not-busy waitstaff ignored us for a full half hour, even when we waved our arms, cellphoned the restaurant from our table, and asked any passing server to have someone stop by. We were furious and were almost out the door when the manager appeared and invited us back in for dinner on the house. We accepted and had a good evening after that, but wow. Just stunning to get ignored for so long like that. We're now definitely ex-Leona's patrons, even after the free dinner. It's just too unpleasant to have to deal with clueless staff like that.

Great place to eat. The brunch is wonderful and the dinners are delicious and generous. Atmosphere is nice, too. Always happy to visit Leona's when I'm in Chicago.

I just love this place. The food is absolutely incredibly and that Sunday Brunch is to die for at a very affordable price. You see students there so it has to be reasonably priced to accomodate them. I like the free parking and the kid friendliness.

leonas is a great restaurant for the kids because they have a little enclosed theater room with cusions on the floor. they are ussually playing disney classics new and old. the best appitizer is the fried calimari. and the ravioli is to die for. theere is also great outdoor seating for those summer nights. the waiters are kind frienly and helpful.

great parking, good foods, generous portions, and a pleasant place over all. a better wine list would make it better.
