Visited with very high hopes and ended up being very very disappointed. Went for anniversary and will not return. The Grilled Tasmanian Salmon was very dry. The duck breast was overcooked. Shortly after visit, went to Taste of Chicago and low and behold, Les Nomades is featured at the Gourmet Tent. I ended up giving them another chance and tried the Shrimp and Remoulade Sandwich with Heirloom Tomato Soup. It was not good and not worth the tickets.

Top place in Chicago. At least for those who would rather talk to their dinner companions, rather than be drowned in the hubbub of noise in many other top places.

No table hopping makes for peace.

Food is unexcelled and wine list has good stuff, both good buys and great wines at fair prices, comparable to hammer prices at auction, the fairest price there is.

My husband and I were members of Les Nomades years ago when Jovan was the owner. We loved every meal there. We moved east several years ago and have little opportunity to get to Chicago, thus we have "mourned" the loss of Les Nomades in our lives...that is until we built a trip around having dinner there. In March we returned and were thrilled that truly nothing had changed! On the way out, we congratulated Marybeth for carrying on a tradition and level of service that Jovan started so many years ago. We were saddened to learn that had we dined the night before at Les Nomades, we would have seen Jovan. It is testimony itself that Jovan dines in his former "home"---at least HE can go home again!

As a food professional I found this restaurant to be outstanding. I agree with the previos post concerning the cheese and port segment. The waiters knowledge of the cheese was admirable and his suggestion for the port was right on!

Perhaps the best fois gras I have ever tasted. My only remorse is that I was there on business and did not have my wife with me.

This is one of my new favorite restaurants in the entire Chicagoland area. The food comes in very small portionsm yet is extremelly delicous and filling. For the calorie watchers, don't worry about it here, the selections are delicious yet not fatty. I would recommend the beef tenderloin and the lobster and scallop emullsion, but everything was divine. You end your meal very full and very pleased! Please try this WONDERFUL restauraunt!

LES NOMADES OFFERS A TRUE DINING EXPERIENCE,ONE THAT CAN THE LEAVE YOU WITH A SMILE ON YOUR FACE, A FULL STOMACH, AND A EMPTY POCKET. IF POSSIBLE TRY TO BE SEATED UPSTAIRS,WITH THE SMALL FIREPLACE AND ATMOSPHERE IT ALMOST FEELS LIKE HOME. THE FOOD WAS EXCELLENT, AND WITH A PRICE SET MENU, I FELT THEY HAD A NICE VARIETY TO CHOOSE FROM. THE MEAL STRECHED OUT TO ABOUT A SIX COURSE MEAL, WHICH ACTUALLY LASTED ABOUT 3 HOURS. AT ABOUT 80 TO 95 DOLLARS A HEAD, NOT INCLUDING DRINKS OR TIP, YOU CAN EASLIY RACK UP A $300 DOLLAR BILL BETWEEN TWO, SO BE AWARE THIS IS NOT FOR THE FRUGAL. AS A CONCLUSION I WOULD GIVE LES NOMADES A 8 ON A SCALE OF 1-10.
