I just caught Low Rent this past weekend at the "Bird's Nest" on Southport--great show again. You guys have a good frontman--strong vocals. The guitar player had some nice moves too. I see from the other reviews you have a CD coming out soon? Hope to hear about a CD Release show soon.

You guys were very good. I caught your show at SUB-T on 9/10 with the Thin Man and was impressed--most opening acts are opening for a reason---I'll be looking for your next show and hoep your second CD is out soon. later, Katie

These guys are good. Original stuff and done well. I'm suprised there's not more buzz about them around Chicago, but I've also noticed there hasn't been a show in several months. Hope to see Low Rent re-emerge on the scene shortly! You guys rock.

Hey Low Rent! If you read these reviews, when and where is your next show?! You guys rocked last time I caught you in Wicker Park and am looking forward to another gig.

Low Rent is a very good band. A friend dragged me along to one of their shows awhile back and I appreciated their music for sure. good stuff.

I saw Low Rent open for The Honeydogs at the Subterranean last Saturday 1/31/04. I hadn't heard of them besides the fact they were opening for the Honeydogs--who also rock. I was very impressed considering I had never heard of Low Rent. The songs were very catchy and too the point--No one wants to see a band full of ballad songs! So, I plan on seeing Low Rent whenever they play again and suggest people check them out--you won't be dissappointed. Good songs, good lyrics, good vocals and a tight rythm section. Definitely worth checking out!
